The Global Institute for Water Security will he holding a film competition and festival from June 21 to 25, 2021. To kickstart this, an online teachers workshop on filmmaking to help teachers and students will be held on January 14, 2021, from 11 am to 1 p.m.
Elementary (Grade 5-8) and High School (Grade 9-12) student team filmmakers are invited to submit a two-minute film about water. The prizes are $2,500 CDN for first place and five other prizes of $1,000 CDN each. Teachers must indicate their intent to submit a film by March 31, 2021 and the deadline for submission of the films is April 30, 2021.
