The TDSB’S Jewish Heritage Committee invites all grades 6 to 8 teachers and students to participate in the Canadian Premiere of Willesden Reads. Register today for this comprehensive educational program featuring a 50-minute FREE livestreaming theatrical performance based on the best-selling book, The Children of Willesden Lane. This program tells the story of the power of music and how one teenage refugee, Lisa Jura, held onto her dreams, survived the Holocaust and inspired a generation. Lisa’s daughter, author, performer and virtuoso concert pianist, Mona Golabek, offers uplifting messages of resilience and hope for students at a time when they most need it.
