Toronto, December 23, 2022 – The Ontario Public School Boards’ Association (OPSBA) is pleased to announce that it has ratified the tentative agreement that was reached with CUPE on November 20, 2022.

“Throughout this process our goal has been to negotiate a fair agreement that is fully-funded and in the best interest of students,” said OPSBA President Cathy Abraham. “We value the contribution that education workers make to the educational experience of our students every day, and so we are extremely pleased to have ratified this agreement.”

In addition to this agreement, the Council of Trustees’ Associations/School Board Associations (CTA), of which OPSBA is a member, reached a tentative settlement with the Ontario Council of Educational Workers (OCEW) on December 10, 2022.  OPSBA continues to actively participate in the bargaining process with OSSTF Teachers and Education Workers, ETFO Teachers and Education Workers, and the Education Workers’ Alliance of Ontario.
