“This morning CUPE advised the Council of Trustees’ Associations (CTA) and the Crown of its intention to engage in a full withdrawal of service commencing on October 7, 2019. School boards across the province are assessing how this will impact our students and schools, with our primary focus on student safety.

These impacts will vary from board to board depending on which staff are represented by CUPE. We encourage parents to check their school board’s website for information on how their particular board and school may be impacted.

We will continue to do everything within our power to reach a fair and responsible collective agreement and we’re looking forward to having further discussions at the table with CUPE.”
